  This month Home Study is learning about aquaponics and building eco-systems. We visited the Sea Life Aquarium at Legoland and experienced the hands on task of dissecting a squid. Did you know that a squid has three hearts or that their head is connected to their feet? Examine the pictures carefully and you might discover something you didn't know before.

• 00:27 Student Store Grand Opening!

  Students used their real-world skills at our first opening of the Scorpion Bank & Student Store. Using their earned Dojo points from the first trimester, students earned the privilege of transferring those points into class money, counted out by the bankers. They then got to shop at our student store, adding purchases as they shopped and making sure they were aware of the change they would receive from the cashier as they checked out. I loved how their giving Holiday spirit showed as many shopped for family & friends for Christmas :)
