00:26 Twist-O-Matic Challenge
We learned the energy from food makes our bodies move just like cars use the energy from gasoline to move. In the activity, students build paper models of an amusement park ride called the Twist-o-Matic. The ride stores energy in rubber bands and spins around when the energy is released. Students compare the speed of the spins when they use a thin rubber band versus a thick rubber band.

Our class has been learning how to choose an appropriate book in our library. We have discussed and practiced the 4 essential questions to ask ourselves when choosing a book. As we went through each question we learned a part of this rap and made up movements to help us remember that choosing a book requires :

This team did an amazing job on both team building activities. Students were given six cups, a rubberband, and a string for each person. They were only allowed to touch their string and move the cups into a configuration.
