Wow! January and February went by so fast!
We culminated the 2nd trimester demonstrating growth, especially in science!
Now, we are getting ready to celebrate Resurrection Sunday, and just like that, April is also flying by.
We are currently learning about life cycles and ecosystems in science. We are also growing plants from seeds, and the classroom engagement has been amazing.
In Math, we learned time and time-lapse word problems. We began doing a daily review of the Math concepts and skills learned this year.
For ELA we are focusing on Narrative writing. Students are currently working on developing their third narrative this trimester, and these stories are getting more and more sophisticated.
I am looking forward to finishing this school year strong, with energy, and with lots of passion. The students seem very focused and determined to reach the class goals we set back in August.
This trimester has already shown to be very productive, and the 3rd graders have already shown amazing growth during the MAPs testing.

This Christmas season is concluding so soon.
Our 3rd graders were so busy this month.
we learned about Newton’s law of gravity and got to practice and test the laws of motion with tor cars and magnets and balances!
They also got to do so much Christmas art and decorated beautifully our classroom door.
In the midst of all the fun, we also got to finish our math book, and ended 2024 doing division and solving multi step word problems.
In writing the students completed an investigative essay on Totem Poles.
we even had the time to sing Christmas carols and share about our Families Christmas traditions.
please see the pictures I’ll begin to add to our album.

Thank you families for all the wonderful support through 2024.

Now let’s make every day count!

blessings.

News

Good Evening Families. Thank you for the donations to the first responders. Our kids won a pizza party! I will send the day and time for the pizza party as soon as I hear about it.
Friendly reminders:
* Homework is due tomorrow!
*Missed homework will receive a fine in Classbank.
*The Science boards are due this week. Please encourage your students to rehearse the presentation.
*I will send a Sign-up Genius for the Harvest celebration shortly on the 31st.
*We began the Writing performance task today. I am also doing individualized reading assessments for the next few weeks. If the parent volunteers have a chance to help the students in the next few weeks, they will appreciate it.
* We also are about to start a research activity on the Native Americans Tribes in the classroom. We will continue to practice our writing skills and move from Opinion Writing to Informational writing. I am beyond pleased with the progress in writing, however, we still have many areas to practice, but the bases for writing have been laid.
